Inflammation of the testicle is a symptom of certain diseases and individual pathology (orchitis). This condition develops mainly as a complication after the transferred or of developing diseases of the genitourinary system.
The main reasons for inflammatory processes in the testis:
- Specific infection (gonorrhea, tuberculosis, syphilis, brucellosis, typhus, etc.);
- Traumatic factors;
- Nonspecific infections that occur in obstetric pathologies (chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis), the penetration of fungi (Candida), viruses (mumps, herpes, influenza, measles), bacteria (streptococci, Staphylococcus aureus).
Orchitis also may occur as a result of infection of the genital organs during the flow of such diseases as urethritis, prostatitis, pneumonia, epidemic.
Accompanied by the inflammation of the testicle, pain that spreads to the lower back, the perineum, the groin area, the sacrum. An increase of the scrotum (almost half), skin inflammation the area becomes smooth, there is redness, increased local temperature.
Therapies based on the root cause of inflammation: in acute conditions treatment is carried out exclusively in hospital (possibly surgery), used antibacterial, anti-inflammatory drugs, physiotherapy.
