Shoulder pain is often due to the fact that the shoulder joint performs most of the movements of all the joints. Any improper use of the shoulder reacts with pain and violation of their functions.
Most often shoulder pain occur due to mechanical injury of the joint (bruises, sprains, fractures), severe physical overload, but may be caused by viral infections or the development of pathological processes.
The cause of pain can be diagnosed by its nature:
- Acute pain – osteoarthritis, arthritis, cervical osteochondrosis, neuritis of the shoulder, capsulitis, and various injuries.
- Chronic pain – bursitis, tendonitis.
