Eye pain can occur as a symptom of ophthalmic disease or some other pathology and may be due to the usual surge of the eye.
Often this condition is not dangerous and is treated with rest and application of ophthalmic drops.
But the appearance of constant pain sharp, aching, throbbing or stabbing in nature is a sign of serious diseases, and without a thorough treatment can lead to complications and even blindness.
Why is there pain in the eyes:
- Getting a foreign object;
- Irritation from contact lenses;
- Mechanical damage;
- Abrasion of the cornea;
- Visual fatigue.
Pain in the eyes may accompany a systemic disease such as influenza, neuroses, SARS, vegetative-vascular dystonia. In this case, it is therapy of the underlying disease.
